Marco is the Italian master entrusted with every Carelli crocodile commission. Trained in Florence and refined across three decades of exotic leatherwork, he personally conducts your consultation, selects each hide with you, and designs the silhouette, pattern and finishing of your piece.
The making is then entrusted to a dedicated team of skilled Italian artisans — craftsmen who work exclusively under Marco's direction, by hand, in our Italian atelier. Every piece therefore carries two signatures: the design vision of Marco, and the patient hands of Italian makers.

The Commission
No two crocodile pieces are alike. From the selection of the hide to the line of a lapel or the patina of a sole, every detail is shaped with you and Master Marco in consultation — then executed entirely by hand in Italy by a dedicated team of artisans. The result is a piece that is unmistakably yours — and unmistakably rare.

The Exotic Leather Atelier
Carelli’s exotic leather atelier is a private commission house for gentlemen who value provenance, patience and craft. Every crocodile jacket, ostrich blouson, python biker and Himalaya piece is drawn by Master Marco in Italy and executed by a small team of Italian artisans working exclusively by hand — from hide selection and panel matching to hardware, lining and finishing.
Unlike a ready-to-wear luxury purchase, a bespoke crocodile commission begins with the skin itself. We source ethically traceable Porosus and Niloticus crocodile hides, then present them in person so you can choose scale character, belly grain, tone and finish — matte, semi-matte or high polish. The same care extends to our ostrich, python, lizard and Himalaya crocodile pieces.
Bombers, biker jackets, blousons and tailored crocodile coats in Porosus and Niloticus hides. Available in matte navy, cognac, forest, ivory and rare Himalaya tonalities. Silk-cashmere linings, hand-finished seams.
Hand-lasted loafers, mules, classic Oxfords and low-top sneakers in crocodile, ostrich or python — Blake or Goodyear-welted at our Italian atelier and finished to your last.
Crocodile briefcases, watch cases, clutches, cigar cases, cardholders and travel folios — designed as heirloom objects with hand-painted edges and solid-brass hardware in gold or palladium.
A Carelli crocodile piece is not selected from a shelf — it is drawn, cut and sewn for one person. Lead times range from twelve to twenty weeks depending on complexity. The atelier is offered strictly by private appointment in Dubai, London and Milan, with in-person hide selection and two dedicated fittings. Discretion, traceability and heirloom construction are the standard, not the option.
